It is with great sadness that the era of the Blue Brook Award has come to a
close for Indiana.
As I recounted to you on the telephone, I gave the first award way back in the
late 60ís, and many, many fine young people were the winners, some numerous
times. Those young people went on to be successful in business and in life, and
I am now judging their children and grandchildren. I was proud of them then,
and Dr. Blue and I hark back to watching them mature in their equestrian skills,
and in their approach to coping with lifeís challenges!
It is always sad when something of forty years is no longer a part of oneís
pleasures of life, but Dr. Blue and I, and our four boys, salute the past
winners, and look forward to seeing them continue their quest to succeed and
Thanks for the memories!
